Next week we all know is ‘Idol Gives Back’. With that are performances of inspiration and hope…I know, sounds cheesy. What will our David Archuleta be able to sing and will he sing another ballad? The Archuletas strive for songs with true meaning and with the upcoming theme, this will be no difficulty. The only question is what song choices are the contestants limited to that can be cleared.
Last season when ‘Idol Gives Back’ was introduced, the contestants were happily bewildered by learning none of them would be eliminated that week; but two the following. I’m pretty certain they will honor what they did last season, by respecting the event and contestants and not letting someone go. It will be an exciting week to come!

So on the night of the Top 10, everyone flooded the site because they wanted to know if David had a girlfriend. You guys are all killing me…First off, who cares if David has a girlfriend or not, you can still dream anyway. When discussing his prom plans the girl they panned over to was not his girlfriend, but only a long time friend from high school, Mietra. You are all taking this and making it such a big deal it’s about to make people suicidal.

Mr. Archuperfect is back, making America’s ears (and, uh, loins?) tingle with glee. No lyric flubs to report, although we did get to see a clip from last week’s mess again, thanks to the evil “Idol” producers who included it in David’s preperformance package. (I’m sure Daddy Archuleta loved that decision.) But all memories of Davidgate were flushed out of my brain as soon as the teen started his pitch-perfect rendition of “The Long and Winding Road,” although, like the Beatles’ legendary concert at Shea Stadium, it was hard to hear most of it over the constant screams from the audience. If only the new stage setup came equipped with a cold shower for the mosh pit.
